The .36 caliber Model 1851 Navy Revolver was a popular sidearm of soldiers and frontiersman for nearly 20 years. Bill Hickok was one of the many frontier legends that was known to carry this model after the Civil War (he actually carried a pair of engraved Model 1851's). This piece has a 7.5" octagonal case hardened steel barrel, steel loading rod and cylinder, and brass triggerguard and backstrap. The grip is polished walnut.
